Judy Flegel
Judy has over 25 years of experience in rehabilitation and pedorthics. She has had the opportunity to be an instructor and practicum supervisor for the Diploma in Pedorthics program.
Judy began her career in exercise rehabilitation working alongside physiotherapists in an orthopaedic based clinic. As a running enthusiast Judy naturally developed a special interest in the biomechanics of running and gait. This in turn motivated her to further her career in the field of pedorthics.
Judy's Approach
Judy approaches each client with their goals for activity in mind. She understands that addressing foot and lower limb pain requires more than simply providing a custom insert for a shoe. Judy feels that education about the injury, about footwear choices, and about basic exercises and activity modifications are essential to good outcomes. Her approach includes discussing realistic expectations of the role of custom orthotics and footwear as part of treatment for foot and lower limb pain.
Feel the Difference
Not everyone needs custom orthotics. However, if you do, custom orthotics should feel different and supportive, but not painful. At Pedorthics London we believe what makes a custom orthotic ‘custom’ is the ability of the pedorthist to design the device and their skill to adjust or modify it to provide optimal results.
