Confused about Third Party Insurance?

Need a reminder about what’s required?

Here’s what we know:

Most insurance companies (Manulife, Great West Life, Green Shield etc)  require a PRESCRIPTION from your Physician, a Podiatrist or Chiropodist. This is always required for the first pair of orthotics and often may be required each time you need a subsequent or replacement pair. This requirement is specific to each insurance plan.  Please check with your plan administrator if you are not sure.

In order to be reimbursed, your prescription should state a request for pedorthic treatment (e.g. custom orthotics) AND a condition / diagnosis (e.g. metatarsalgia, plantar fasciitis, etc.). Statements of foot pain, knee pain, low back pain, or pes planus/pes cavus are not generally accepted.

Please note that Pedorthics London is considered an approved provider of your custom foot orthotics but we cannot prescribe them for you. We will ensure you receive a written biomechanical assessment and manufacturer information if required.

If you have any further questions regarding third party payment issues, please do not hesitate to contact us.
